Adoption of Proclamation - Intellectual Disabilities Awareness Month, March 2019 (Academic Support and Federal Programs) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
We request the School Board adopt the attached Intellectual Disabilities Awareness proclamation to recognize the efforts of Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) in effectively implementing educational practices which advance the awareness of Intellectual Disabilities. HCPS provides students with Intellectual Disabilities the knowledge and skills necessary to maximize their overall achievement and success. During this month, HCPS joins school districts nationally to recognize the unique talents of students with Intellectual Disabilities. HCPS is proud of the hard work demonstrated by our students, the dedication of their teachers, and the ongoing support of their families. |
