EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
We request the School Board adopt the attached Autism Spectrum Disorders Awareness proclamation to recognize the efforts of Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) in effectively implementing educational practices which advance the awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders. HCPS currently serves over 3,000 students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and provides these students with the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to maximize their overall achievement and success. During this month, HCPS joins school districts nationally in building acceptance and highlighting the unique talents of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
