SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Champions for Children to Provide Professional Development for Staff and Offer Group Sessions for Students at Chamberlain High School (Chief of Schools)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The provider will offer professional development to assist and guide staff through strengthening partnerships with families through relationship-based practices and aligning organizational practices for effective engagement. The services offered for students will teach and guide students to a healthy relationship and boundaries.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Develop, recognize, and reward employees • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Continuously improve processes and systems • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $18,822 will be available in the School Improvement Grant-TOP 3. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3367. As of January 25, 2019, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $29,938.
EVALUATION
Staff and student satisfaction surveys will be among the tools used for evaluation.  Surveys will employ a Likert scale.  A potential result is to decrease referrals and increase positive behavior.
