Approve Achievement Schools Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to Enhance Teacher Recruitment and Retention (Deputy Superintendent, Operations)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recruitment, retention, and development of highly effective teachers is a priority for both the Board and Superintendent. The attached MOU represents a partnership with the Hillsborough County Teachers Association and the district to achieve this goal.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Recruit, support, and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce • Develop, recognize, and reward employees • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Continuously improve processes and systems
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $17,000,000.00 will be available in SAI, Title 1, and Part 1 Funds.
