Recognition of Employees at Lake Magdalene Elementary for Winning $1,500 in the National HealthyWage Weight Loss Challenge (Human Resources Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Melissa Laliotis, Alecia Battinelli, Lori Kessel, Jessica Iredale, and Nicole Charlot from Lake Magdalene Elementary School, joined together to create the "Chubby No More" team in order to compete in the national HealthyWage Weight Loss Challenge. At the end of the 12-week challenge, Chubby No More was the biggest loser in our District, losing 10.3% of their original body weight, and finishing in 7th place in the national competition. For their efforts, the team was awarded $1,500 from HealthyWage. The next HealthyWage Weight Loss Challenge will be in September, so we look forward to more school teams joining in.
