| Approve Award of Contract for Roof Replacement at Cork Elementary School (Operations Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for roof replacement at Cork Elementary School. District Staff selected PBA Design Group, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. The scope of work includes replacements of the west portion of the main building and building 6 including raising the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) units and installing new expansion joint curbs.
The project was advertised and bids received (see attached bid tabulation). Award of the contract for construction to the lowest qualified bidder, Southern Roofing Company, Inc., is recommended. |

Funds in the amount of $726,016.00 will be available in the Community Investment Tax fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8238. As of Monday, April 8, 2019, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $664,574.00.
The contract amount being awarded is $593,016. |
