Adoption of Proclamation - National Social Work Month, March 2019 (Revised)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
March 2019 is recognized as National Social Work Month by the National Association of Social Workers. The month celebrates the many contributions made by America’s Social Workers and recognizes that the Social Work profession is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of others and meeting the basic needs of all people, especially the most vulnerable in our society.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Recruit, support, and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
