Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Challenge Day for an Anti-Bullying Workshop at Chamberlain High School (Chief Of Schools)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Challenge Day will provide an anti-bullying workshop focusing on building empathy and inspiring a schoolwide movement of compassion and positive change. They address some common issues seen in most schools including cliques, gossip, rumors, negative judgments, teasing, harassment, isolation, stereotypes, intolerance, racism, sexism, bullying, violence, suicide, homophobia, hopelessness, apathy, and hidden pressures to create an image, achieve, or live up to the expectations of others.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $10,550 will be available in the School Improvement Grant-TOP 3.  For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3367.  As of March 5, 2019, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $10,654.
