Approve Second Amendment to License Agreement between the School Board of Hillsborough County and United Way Suncoast, Inc. at Sulphur Springs K-8 Community School (Operations Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On September 16, 2008, the School Board entered into a License Agreement with United Way Suncoast, Inc. to allow United Way use of a portion of property located at Sulphur Springs K-8 Community School to develop and construct a community center. The center provides programs and services that include a family resource center, parent education and enrichment, information and referral services, adult education, family literacy, employment and training, free tax preparation, legal information workshops, financial education classes and volunteer programs.
The First Amendment to this Agreement was approved by the School Board on July 21, 2014. That amendment extended the term to May 31, 2019, and provided for a future renewal term from June 1, 2019, to May 31, 2024. United Way has requested to renew the Agreement utilizing the renewal option extending the agreement to May 31, 2024, and provides for a future renewal term to expire on May 31, 2029. |
