SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Renewal of the Contract for Full Service Funding with the State of Florida, Department of Health (FLDOH), Hillsborough County (Academic Support and Federal Programs)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of this funding is to expand school-based health services and increase access to healthcare by funding salaries for a pediatric physician, advanced registered nurse practitioners, and registered nurses, and other costs associated with these positions including, but not limited to, travel to continuing education conferences,  materials, and needed supplies.  The Full Service School Funding provides direct health services to schools in our district.  This is an annual renewal of flow-through funds from the FLDOH, Hillsborough County to the school district and has been in effect for over 20 years.

It is the practice of the FLDOH, Hillsborough County to sign any negotiated contract after School Board approval.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $422,722 will be available July 2, 2019, from the state legislature general revenue fund and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families federal dollars for the 2019/2020 fiscal year budget.
EVALUATION
Annual reports are submitted to the FLDOH, Hillsborough County containing data relative to student, parent, and school health staff interactions, as well as services provided by registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and a physician.
