Approve Second Amendment to Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Temple Terrace and the School Board of Hillsborough County for Construction of Baseball Fields for the Buddy Baseball Program at Lewis Elementary School (Operations Division)

On August 29, 2017, the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Temple Terrace granting the City permission to design and construct ballfields at Lewis Elementary School for the Buddy Baseball Program.  During the continuing design phase of the project, the City is now requesting to revise the original approved plan.  They would like to install only one synthetic play field on the western softball field; the eastern field will remain a clay/grass field; and would like to build a third clay/grass field on the northern portion of the vacant field between the Family Recreation Complex and Lewis Elementary School.

As the process continues, the City may convert the eastern field to a synthetic as funds become available.  No other terms or conditions have been modified in the original Interlocal Agreement.

These site improvements will be the financial responsibility of the City and the school will have use of these improvements during school hours.

Approval of the Second Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Temple Terrace and the School Board of Hillsborough County for the construction of baseball fields for the Buddy Baseball program at Lewis Elementary School, will have no financial impact to the School Board.
