EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
In order to meet new state mandates regarding school security a reorganization of the Security and Emergency Management Department is necessary. The attached memorandum provides background and justification for this reorganization. The attached Reorganization Worksheet details the expenditures related to the reorganization, as well as current and proposed organization charts detailing all positions affected by this reorganization. Additionally, in the attached documents are included four new/updated job descriptions:

Due to strategic planning and the partnerships with our local law enforcement agencies, there is an estimated cost avoidance of $1,409,873.21 due to the addition of our own security officers in elementary and charter schools across the district. For the job descriptions that are being newly created or revised, the salary ranges are (all funded from Part 1):
