EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Going for the Gold Hillsborough County Public Schools 90x20 (G4G) mission is to increase graduation rates and reduce dropout rates by supporting all students in reaching their full potential at school, at home, and in the community. Since its inception, stakeholders (parents, students, community members, businesses, schools, and political leaders) have been empowered with research-based strategies that ensure academic student success through the connection of the four G4G pillars (Diversity/Cultural Responsiveness, Build Relationships/District Culture, Health and Wellness, and Graduation 90x20 Focus on Attendance). The committee includes students, parents, district staff, business partners, community members, faith based organizations and School Board Member, Lynn Gray. The following strategies were planned by the committee to support the G4G Initiative:
