SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve License Agreement Between The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, and the Florida Department of Transportation for Roadway Improvements Along East College Avenue at Ruskin Elementary School (Operations Division)
The Florida Department of Transportation has requested permission from the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, to access the driveway apron at Ruskin Elementary School to improve the sloping, grading, tying in, harmonizing and reconnecting existing features of the driveway as part of the reconstruction of the pedestrian curb ramps to ADA standards. This project is part of the roadway improvements along County Route 674 / East College Avenue from US 41 / State Road 45. The License Agreement would allow FDOT ingress and egress for workers, machinery, and vehicles in the hatched area depicted on Exhibit "A". FDOT will coordinate with the school's Principal with reasonable advanced notice to insure uninterrupted vehicular access to the school site and to not unreasonably inconvenience the school. The term of the Agreement shall be from August 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021.
• Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
Approval of the License Agreement between the School Board of Hillsborough County and the Florida Department of Transportation for ingress and egress on East College Avenue at Ruskin Elementary School will have no financial impact to the School Board.
