Recognition of Schools and Students Who Have Been a Part of the Teen Trendsetters Literacy Program Implemented in Six Magnet and Traditional Schools in Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) (Chief of Schools) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Teen Trendsetters national literacy program is part of a partnership between HCPS and the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. The program matches secondary school students with elementary school students who are reading behind their grade level. Six magnet schools have established a mentor connection where students learn from each other how best to appreciate the joy of reading and understanding. In addition to recognizing each school in the program, each secondary school has identified an exceptional student who has led their program and made a difference in a young person's life. |
