Approve the Memorandum of Understanding with Hillsborough Community College for Career Pathways Events (Workforce Connections)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of the Memorandum of Understanding with Hillsborough Community College to receive a maximum of $30,000 and not less than $15,000 of Carl D. Perkins funding, which is designated for programs that educate high school students, teachers, and counselors on the technical programs offered by Hillsborough Community College. The funds will be used for instructor stipends, student/staff transportation, and supplies.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Hillsborough Community College will provide a maximum of $30,000 and not less than $15,000 from the Carl D. Perkins Grant to the district to support these activities for the school year 2019/2020. If approved, these funds will be allocated to various objects in Project 3740 and expended by June 30, 2020.
EVALUATION
Over the past year, over 30 counselors attended College and Career Connections and over 400 high school students attended the Hillsborough Community College Career Quest. This agreement will be evaluated by the Department of Career and Technical Education based on the number of students who participate in the career pathways programs.
