Public Hearing on the Adoption of the Threat Assessment Teams Policy (Government Relations)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This proposed policy is recommended for adoption to formalize Threat Assessment Teams in policy and to ensure full compliance with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act (Florida Laws Chapter 2018-2 (Senate Bill 7026)) ("MSD Act").  Our district was a state leader well before the MSD Act passed, with procedures surrounding our Threat Assessment Teams already in place.   The notice of rulemaking was advertised in our local newspapers as required by law and the policy was made available for public review on the district website.
