SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County (ELCHC) and The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (HCPS) to Collaborate on Connecting Achievement Elementary Schools to Childcare Centers and Family Child Care Homes (Academic Support and Federal Programs)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This MOU is a collaboration of support for achievement elementary schools in order to form relationships with local childcare centers and family child care homes.  These established relationships will facilitate the transition of children and their families into kindergarten. The ELCHC requires the school board’s signature, as the subcontracted agency, to acknowledge acceptance of this contract prior to the ELCHC’s final signature.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
This agenda item has no financial impact to the District.
EVALUATION
This MOU will be reviewed and updated (as needed) by ELCHC and HCPS staff at the end of each fiscal year for five years beginning June 30, 2020, and ending June 30, 2024.  The review will include collaboration efforts and events at each achievement school.
