Approve the Renewal of Edsby Online Gradebook System Services with Aptiris, Inc. (Business Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On March 19, 2013, the Board approved the highest ranking proposal for an Online Gradebook System, RFP #12200-DST with Aptiris, Inc., to enable stakeholders to communicate grades, assignments, and important classroom information. This agenda item provides an additional year of Edsby gradebook, collaboration services, and multi-year archiving through June 30, 2020. This cost proposal is for a one-year term.

In accordance with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(12)(d), commodities on contractual service available from only a single source may be exempted from the competitive solicitation requirements. When a district school board believes that commodities or contractual service are available only from a single source as specified by the FLDOE, the district school board may negotiate on the best terms and conditions with the single source vendor.

Funds in the amount of $356,160 will be available in the Information Technology 2019/2020 fiscal year budget for this expense. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 9999.
EVALUATION
District staff issued a Invitation to Negotiate for Student Information Systems to replace our current system. This agenda item will continue the current online gradebook system through fiscal year 2019/2020.
