Approve the Proposed 2019/2020 Student Code of Conduct (Chief of Schools)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Student Code of Conduct is designed to inform parents and students of their rights and responsibilities at school, provide expectations for student behavior, and set a standard for providing all students with an environment conducive to learning.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Develop a culture of respect, trust, collaboration and equity • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Continuously improve processes and systems • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
EVALUATION
Hillsborough County Public Schools must adopt a Student Code of Conduct and make available for review with all stakeholders at the beginning of every school year (F.S 1006.07(2) Code of Student Conduct).  A communication plan has been developed to ensure that the approved Code of Conduct is adequately communicated to families and staff.
