EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of the Title II Grant, Part A, is to provide funds to local education agencies. These funds are used to increase student achievement consistent with challenging state academic standards; improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals, and other school leaders; increase the number of teachers, principals, and other school leaders who are effective in improving student academic achievement in schools; and provide low-income and minority students greater access to effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders.  According to grant parameters, private schools are entitled to an equitable share of Title II funds in order to achieve these goals.

The Center for Authentic PLCs will provide a two-day professional learning opportunity for private school teachers and leaders who work at Jesuit High School.  As a result of the two-day Grapple Data Institute, Jesuit High School teachers will be trained in the Data Action Model, a model designed for reviewing and responding to student data. Teachers, within their departmental professional learning communities, will have the skills necessary to analyze both macro- and microdata to identify student learning gaps which they will link to instructional gaps. Each department will develop an action plan which includes instructional strategies designed to close these learning gaps.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child

EVALUATION
Immediately following the training, teachers and leaders will complete a course evaluation that will allow Jesuit High School to evaluate the effectiveness of the training.
