Approve the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Between the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida (GSWCF) and the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (Chief of Schools) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
This MOA establishes the respective roles and responsibilities regarding the implementation and operation of GSWCF youth development programs. The GSWCF began locally in 1912 and was the second recorded program in the nation. As a leadership development organization that supports girls in grades K-12, the program’s mission is to build girls' courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place. Girls are practicing different skills, exploring their potential, taking on leadership positions, and impacting their communities. There are more than 5,100 girls participating in girl scouts locally. This collaboration will ensure the program and the students are supported. | |

• Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health | |
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No) | |
The School Board does not charge this organization a rental fee for use of school facilities. They are required to carry liability insurance to cover the use of our facilities. The School Board will be held harmless from liability and listed as "additional insured" on the insurance policy. | |
