Approve the Multi-Year Agreements of Understanding with the Community Based Training (CBT) Sites for Students with Disabilities for 2019/2020 and All Subsequent Years (Academic Support and Federal Programs) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
We request approval for the Agreements of Understanding with CBT sites (list attached) to provide valuable training experiences for qualifying students with disabilities. Upon receipt of training in entry-level positions at a variety of businesses in the community, participating students are better prepared to successfully enter the workforce. Beginning with the 2019/2020 school year, under these Agreements of Understanding, students with disabilities will receive training opportunities. | |

Funds in the amount of $265,000 will be available in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) for transporting students to and from the business sites. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3731. | |
EVALUATION | |
CBT Business Partnership Evaluations were completed by the participating sites for 2018/2019. The participating businesses rated students on their performance based on the following criteria:
