SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Renewal of the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) College Readiness System Support Agreement for the 2019/2020 School Year (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
AVID will provide one full-time staff member to support Hillsborough County Public Schools implementation of the AVID system.  This includes leadership, direction, training, counseling, professional development, and support for faculty and administration at the AVID sites.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $90,000 will be available in the Supplemental Academic Instruction AVID Support budget.  The project number specific to this agenda item is 4607.  Hillsborough County Public Schools shall be paid a total of $7,500 per month for services performed satisfactorily during the Term of the Agreement, not to exceed a total of $90,000.
EVALUATION
The evaluation will be based on the annual staff evaluation by Hillsborough County Public Schools and The AVID Center's benchmark data provided by The AVID Center.
