This bid was prepared to establish catalog pricing discounts and installation costs to streamline the process for purchase and installation of sunshades. The scope includes design, manufacturing, permitting and installation of a variety of sunshades. Previously, District staff issued a separate minor project solicitation for each and every required installation.

District staff developed specifications for the sunshades and installation services and solicited bids. Appointment to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Apollo Sunguard Systems, Inc., is recommended as indicated in Attachment A. The term is one year, effective August 21, 2019.

Funding for these sunshades is typically provided by non-district funds collected by schools. Because this product is ordered district-wide, there is not one project number assigned to these purchases.
