Approve the Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hillsborough Community College (HCC) for Career Pathways Events (Workforce Connections) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On June 11, 2019, the Board approved the MOU with HCC to receive a maximum of $30,000 and not less than $15,000 of Carl D. Perkins funding, which is designated for programs that educate high school students, teachers, and counselors on the technical programs offered by HCC. The funds will be used for instructor stipends, student/staff transportation, and supplies. Based on guidance provided by the Florida Department of Education, this Addendum is necessary to add specific language to the agreement related to the “Required Level of Services (Performance Standards)” and the “Remedies for Non-Performance.” |

EVALUATION | |
Over the past year, over 30 counselors attended College and Career Connections and over 400 high school students attended the HCC Career Quest. This agreement will be evaluated by the Department of Career and Technical Education based on the number of students who participate in the career pathways programs. | |
