Approve Certified Athletic Training Services for All Hillsborough County Public High Schools (Athletics Department)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Certified Athletic Trainers from the University of South Florida SMART Institute (USF), Select Physical Therapy, and PT Solutions Holdings, LLC. will provide certified athletic trainer services to each Hillsborough County Public High School.  Each school will have an athletic trainer year round.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Develop a culture of respect, trust, collaboration and equity • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Continuously improve processes and systems • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $270,000 will be available in the Safety and Risk Management budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 4332. As of August 9, 2019, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $270,000.
EVALUATION
The effectiveness of this agreement will be evaluated by the Director of Athletics and school personnel.
