Approve Agreements for Technical Services (ATS) Which Provide Services to Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired (FIMC-VI) (Academic Support and Federal Programs)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of ATS #19164-ATS-IV with Donna Pastore, #19152-ATS-IV with Laura C. Brown, #19153-ATS-IV with Mary Stoltz, Inc., #19163-ATS-IV with SyLNX, Inc., and #19162-ATS-IV with VisTech Consulting, LLC for FIMC-VI.  A synopsis of each vendor providing services is outlined in Attachment A.

Since 1972, The Florida Department of Education Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (FLDOE/BEESS) has continued to support FIMC-VI with federal IDEA Part B, IDEA Trust, and State General Revenue appropriations to meet the instructional needs of Florida's students with visual impairments.  As defined by Florida Statute 1003.55, FIMC-VI will produce, procure, distribute, recirculate, and house specialized materials including statewide assessments for students who are blind and visually impaired. Hillsborough County Public Schools has served as FIMC-VI's headquarters for 47 years.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $361,770 will be available in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget.  For tracking purposes, the project numbers specific to this agenda item are 3539 and 3717.
EVALUATION
As required in the Additional Assurances included in the 2019/2020 Cooperative Agreement, quarterly data reflecting all project activities will be reported and maintained in the FLDOE/BEESS Project Tracking System.  Performance evaluation measures are determined and monitored by the FLDOE. Braille transcription activities, technical services, and support facilitation activities are evaluated based on timely delivery of reports, number of activities completed, and the quality of deliverables.
