The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) supports the use of a research-based curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and designed to introduce children to literacy, social, and numerous experiences that focus on teaching the whole child as well as enhancing age-appropriate progress in attaining state-adopted performance standards. World of Wonders builds a strong foundation for early literacy and provides developmentally appropriate instruction for early learners including cross-curricular activities, a focus on social-emotional development, and preparation for kindergarten and beyond. The World of Wonders materials have been reviewed through the Voluntary Prekindergarten Program Curriculum Approval Process.
