SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Articulation Agreements with Hillsborough Community College (HCC) for various Career Certificate (PSAV) Education Programs (Workforce Connections)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
HB 7071 created s. 1007.233, F.S., to require each Career Center and Florida College System institution with overlapping service areas to annually submit a regional Career Pathways Agreement for each Career Center certificate program aligned with an associate degree offered by the Florida College System institution. We request approval of the attached articulation agreements between HCC and The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida to award credit for the following Career Certificate (PSAV) education programs:  Tampa Area Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Plumbing Technology Electricity Drafting Commercial Foods and Culinary Arts Automotive Service Technology Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, & Heating Technology Carpentry Distribution and Logistics Management Electrician Medium & Heavy Duty Truck & Bus Technician 1 Solar Photovoltaic Design, Installation & Maintenance Welding Technology Career Certificate (PSAV) students who complete these programs, meet the requirements of the articulation agreements, and enter the postsecondary programs at HCC will receive college credits towards earning Associate in Science degrees. The agreements will not be in effect until approved by both The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida and Hillsborough Community College Board of Trustees.

EVALUATION
These articulation agreements will be evaluated by Career, Technical, and Adult Education Department staff to ensure that the standards taught will result in articulated credit.
