Approve the Agreement for Technical Services #19196-ATS-IV with Teaching Strategies, Inc. D/B/A Safe and Civil Schools to Provide Foundations Training for Staff at Achievement Schools (Academic Support and Federal Programs) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Teaching Strategies, Inc., will provide Foundations Training for the following Achievement Schools: Bing, Broward, Bryan, Burney, Dover, Dunbar, Graham, James, Lockhart, McDonald, Robles, Sheehy Elementary Schools and Sligh Middle School. Foundations is a comprehensive approach to behavior management that guides the entire school staff in designing a proactive and positive schoolwide discipline plan. Foundations helps educators and support staff expand skills in effective supervision, discipline, positive behavior support, and classroom management, thereby increasing student motivation, attendance, and academic engagement. Leadership teams from each participating school will learn:

Funds in the amount of $39,900 will be available in the Title IV grant. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3744. | |
EVALUATION | |
Surveys will be administered to teachers and students to determine program effectiveness and satisfaction. Results will be shared with the Site and District Support Teams. | |
