Approve the Memorandum of Agreement Between University of South Florida and The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida for the Youth Mental Health Awareness and Training (YMHAT) Project (Academic Support and Federal Programs)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This Memorandum of Agreement describes the partnership with the University of South Florida Board of Trustees, a public body corporate for its University of South Florida St. Petersburg College of Education's Division of K-16 Educational Initiatives (USFSPCOEK-16). It represents the intent of the USFSPCOEK-16 administration and faculty and the district to collaborate in the training of public school administration and staff in the area of YMHAT and first aid.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Develop, recognize, and reward employees • Develop a culture of respect, trust, collaboration and equity • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Grant funds in the amount of $233,372 will be available to support YMHAT and first aid training.
EVALUATION
The number of individuals who successfully obtained the certification to become YMHAT first aiders will be reviewed.
