SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services #19194-ATS-IV with Increase, LLC for Professional Development with the Hillsborough Executive Leadership Academy (HELA) (Chief of Schools)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
HELA participants will receive targeted professional development and one-on-one coaching. The contract involves a minimum of three full days of professional development and a minimum of three face-to-face executive coaching sessions as well as continuous e-mentoring for all 12 participants.

The purpose of HELA is to bring together high performing and impactful Hillsborough County Public Schools' leaders who believe in equity and excellence for all students, and provide them with an opportunity to learn from experts, research, and each other in order to solve critical issues and problems facing public education and urban districts today. HELA participants are preparing for future roles in district leadership or principal supervision.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $27,000 will be available in the Title II budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3788.
EVALUATION
HELA is measured by (a) HELA fellows being selected for district executive leader positions; (b) replication of the same program in other districts across the nation; and (c) participant satisfaction surveys and post-assessments measuring participant growth from the entry assessment to the exit.

Of the original 19 participants, 10 have been selected for executive leader positions. See Attachment A for further evaluation information.
