Approve the Agreement for Technical Services #19210-ATS-IV with Indikus Evaluation & Planning for the Evaluation of the District Instructional Leadership and Faculty Development (DIL) Grant Project (Office of Strategy Management)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The DIL Grant provides professional development for principals and other district administrators in instructional and human resource leadership positions, and focuses on the use of teacher evaluations to improve instruction.  An external evaluation is required by and funded by the grant. Grant evaluation services for the 2019/2020 school year will include the following: four rapid analysis briefs of 7-12 pages, to offer key stakeholders timely feedback on program planning, site visits, and questionnaire results, as well as recommendations for program refinement; two interim Evaluation Progress Reports that report on program delivery and cumulative evaluation results; and a comprehensive formative process and Summative Evaluation Outcome Report of findings.

Funds in the amount of $48,700 will be available in the DIL Grant funds.  For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3730.  As of October 17, 2019, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $48,700.
EVALUATION
The Office of Strategy Management has direct supervision of the selected external evaluator, oversees the evaluation activities, tracks progress, and ensures reporting compliance as well as transmission of all required reports to the funding agency.
