EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Florida Coordinated School Health Partnership in collaboration with Florida Action for Healthy Kids, Florida Association of District School Superintendents, and Florida Healthy Kids Corporation awarded HCPS the Florida Healthy School District Gold Level Award. This award is the highest level that can be achieved. It is based on submission of self-assessments of sustainable infrastructure, policies, programs, and practices identified from national and state guidelines, best practices, and Florida statutes. HCPS joins only six other districts who have received this level of recognition. Those districts include Alachua, Collier, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, and Pinellas. HCPS will be featured as a Gold Level Healthy School District on the Florida Department of Education's Healthy Schools website for two years. |
