Approve the Memorandum of Agreement for MORE HEALTH, INC. for Services Associated with the Implementation of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Promoting Adolescent Health Through School-Based Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Grant (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This agreement with MORE HEALTH, INC. will support the second year of the CDC grant by providing direct classroom instruction to students in target middle and high schools identified in year one of the grant.  The purpose of this instruction is to deliver comprehensive sexual health education derived from the Youth Risk Behavior Survey baseline data results in year one aligning with the district's 2019/2020 sexual health curriculum and instructional competencies.  MORE HEALTH, INC. will be compensated through grant funds in the amount of $30,000 for services outlined in Attachment D-Budget of the agreement.

Funds in the amount of $30,000 will be available in the CDC grant budget.  For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3845.
EVALUATION
Under the terms of the grant, Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) is responsible for project evaluation.  HCPS will contract with an external, third-party organization that will conduct an independent evaluation of the effectiveness of the program to include the instruction provided by MORE HEALTH, INC.  The Office of Strategy Management, HCPS personnel associated with the CDC grant project and MORE HEALTH, INC. will work in collaboration with the third party evaluator to provide the required reporting.
