Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the Athletic Track Project at Sligh Middle School (Operations Division) |
|
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Sligh Middle School is one of the few middle schools in the district without a running track and sports field. Operations has corrected this deficiency by now providing for the design and construction of a running track and the related site work requirements at Sligh Middle. District staff selected Skanska USA Building, Inc. and Key Engineering Associates, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services. Approval of the GMP will establish the cost for the project. Project completion is scheduled for February 21, 2020. |

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
• Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The GMP recommended for approval is $1,665,096, which is available in the Local Millage fund.
