Recognition of the Raymond O. Shelton School Administrative Center (ROSSAC) Culture and Wellness Program (Chief of Schools)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The ROSSAC Culture and Wellness Program assists in facilitating a healthy lifestyle by encouraging programs that promote a balanced and healthy work environment.  The program focuses on the physical, emotional, social and financial pillars of wellbeing by engaging co-workers with opportunities outside their day-to-day job function.

Wellness programs can impact an employees's happiness and create the potential to positively impact health care costs, absenteeism, productivity, recruitment/retention, culture and employee morale.  The program encourages participation from every staff member who works in the building, regardless of position, title or rank.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Recruit, support, and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce • Develop a culture of respect, trust, collaboration and equity • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Continuously improve processes and systems • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
