Approve the 2020 HCPS Legislative Platform (Government Relations)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Legislative platform summarizes the district's position on priority issues and policy. The Board approved platform serves as the district's official position and is a guide for the Board's advocacy efforts. Government Relations worked with divisional leaders and staff to develop a platform that represents key legislative initiatives and aligns with the district's strategic plan. This year, the legislative platform was expanded to include legislative policy and appropriations requests. The platform is a dynamic document, which will be adopted annually and updated as necessary to meet the needs of the district.
