Approve Transportation Services Agreement Between The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida and Skyway Bridge Run, Inc. for Skyway 10K Race 2020 (Operations Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As part of the third annual Skyway 10K Race, Skyway Bridge Run, Inc. has requested assistance from The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida to provide transportation for race participants and volunteers to and from the Skyway bridge from the staging and loading area at Tropicana Field.  This annual event gives 100% of all proceeds to the Armed Forces Families Foundation to support our military and their families.  The School Board would provide buses, drivers, a mechanic and support staff for the race on Sunday, March 1, 2020, and be compensated approximately $40,000.  As per the terms of the agreement, each party has the right to terminate the agreement with prior written notification; both parties will maintain the required insurance and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the other party.  The specific number of drivers and buses is stated in the agreement. 

The Transportation Services Agreement was presented to and approved by Skyway Bridge Run, Inc. in November 2019.

The School Board of Hillsborough County's approval of the Transportation Services Agreement with the Skyway Bridge Run, Inc. to provide transportation services for the Skyway 10K will result in a contract amount of approximately $40,000.
