Recognition of Kindness of the Heart (Chief of Schools)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In the spirit of service learning, a component identified in the district's culture icon, the Board acknowledges the value of simple acts of kindness performed without reason or prompting and how these acts can positively impact students, the recipient, the observer, the good deed, and the community at large. The first day of every season (September 23, December 21, March 20, June 20) should be acknowledged as a National Day of Kindness and should recognize that simple acts of kindness performed without prompting or reason can positively impact the performer, receiver, and witnesses of the good deed.

• Develop a culture of respect, trust, collaboration and equity • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders
