Approve the Agreement for Technical Services #19240-ATS-IV with Catapult Learning, LLC (Catapult) (Academic Support and Federal Programs)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Catapult will provide an intensive reading program to students in grades 3-5 at Desoto, Folsom, Foster, Kenly, Kimbell, Mango, Miles, Mort, Oak Park, Pizzo, Robles, Shaw, and Temple Terrace Elementary Schools. The program will include small group instruction with Achieve Literacy, a proven research-based curriculum, supplemental tutoring for one-on-one instruction in reading focusing on skills covered on the Florida Standards Assessment test, tutor management, pre/post assessments, weekly progress reports, and end of year evaluation reports for all students served.

Funds in the amount of $589,300 will be available in the Unified School Improvement grant. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3799.
EVALUATION
Catapult will administer a pretest at the beginning of the contract period and a posttest at the end of the contract period to participating students to determine if documented objectives of the program were achieved. Progress reports will be shared regularly with district staff, the program supervisor, and/or designee to discuss progress of the program. Data will be analyzed to determine the success of the program and future contracts with the provider. At the conclusion of the program, a final report will be shared with district staff.
