Approve the Agreement for Technical Services #19251-ATS-IV with Prismatic Services, Inc., for the Evaluation of the STOP School Violence: Technology and Threat Assessment Solutions for a Safer School Program Grant and STOP School Violence and Mental Health Training Program Grant Projects (Office of Strategy Management) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The STOP grant programs, authorized under the STOP School Violence Act, support efforts by state and local units of government to prevent and reduce school violence. Specifically, the STOP School Violence: Technology and Threat Assessment Solutions for a Safer School Program Grant project's purpose is to enhance the district’s current Behavioral Threat Assessment processes and strengthen the existing plan to prevent school violence. The STOP School Violence and Mental Health Training Program Grant project’s purpose is to enhance training of school personnel and the education of students to prevent student violence. This agreement for evaluation services is recommended in order to fulfill the STOP grant projects’ requirement for a third-party evaluation consultant for the 2019/2020 school year grant period. Grant evaluation services include evaluation design assistance, data analysis, a midyear report and a comprehensive Annual Performance Evaluation Report. | |

Funds in the amount of $16,000 will be available in the STOP grants for evaluation services. For tracking purposes, the project numbers specific to this agenda item are 3761 and 3706. As of January 10, 2020, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this item equaled $16,000 | |
EVALUATION | |
The Office of Strategy Management has direct supervision of the selected external evaluator, oversees the evaluation activities, tracks progress, and ensures reporting compliance as well as transmission of all required reports to the funding agency. | |
