Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for 2019 Referendum Phase Two Project at Woodbridge Elementary School (Operations Division) |
|
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The District's referendum advertisement provided for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) and lift station replacements at Woodbridge Elementary School. On February 5, 2019, District staff selected BAL Engineering, Inc. and Gilbane Building Company to provide design and construction management services, respectively, through a selection committee. Award was made based upon the score granted by the selection committee. Due to the magnitude of the scope of work, this project has been divided into two phases. Approval of the GMP will establish the cost for the project. Project substantial completion of Phase Two is scheduled for August 3, 2020. |
|
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
• Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The GMP recommended for approval for Phase Two is $2,214,933, which is available in the Sales Tax Referendum fund.
