Funds in the amount of $55,900 will be available in the TSSA Grant.
EVALUATION | |
The rapid growth walk-through method has been used in Kellog Join School District, Reeths-Puffer Schools, and Traverse City Area Public Schools. Pinehurate Elementary in Kellogg outperformed the rest of the district and the state and attributes significant changes to the use of GIW. Reeths-Puffer schools went from C's and a D's on the state rating system to A's and B's. Traverse City high schools moved into the top performing list from the College Board and US News and World Report. GIW was part of a comprehensive strategy, which allowed the schools to gather comprehensive data in order to make decisions regarding changes in instructional practice.
