Adoption of the Proclamation - Safe Schools for Immigrant Children and Families (Chief of Schools)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A proclamation to support efforts in ensuring every child can access public education and thrive with the assurance of learning in a safe, welcoming, and culturally responsive environment, including immigrant children, every school day.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Improve Student Achievement • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Continuously improve processes and systems • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
