Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the Referendum Phase Two Project at Colson Elementary School (Operations Division) |
|
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On February 5, 2019, District staff selected VoltAir Consulting Engineers, LLC and Halfacre Construction Company to provide design and construction management services, respectively, through a selection committee. Award was made based upon the score granted by the selection committee. Due to the magnitude of the scope of work, this project has been divided into two phases at Colson Elementary School. In an effort to improve the air conditioning performance, the project has been divided in two phases. Phase One consisted of the replacement of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and built-up roofing. Phase Two of the project includes the replacement of metal roofing and the ductwork in Buildings 1, 3, 5 and 8 which will complete the HVAC upgrade at that school. Approval of the Phase Two Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will establish the maximum cost for this phase of the project. Phase Two project substantial completion is currently scheduled for August 3, 2020. |
