SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Memorandum of Agreement Between The Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, Inc. (BGC), and The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (HCPS) to Provide Before School, After School, and Summer Programs at Foster, Morgan Woods, and Town and Country Elementary, and Marshall, Pierce, Shields, Sligh, and Tomlin Middle Schools (Academic Support and Federal Programs)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of this initiative is to continue to provide a community learning center that offers academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours. The activities are designed to help students meet state student standards in core academic subjects such as reading and math.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
All costs of these services will be the responsibility of BGC. BGC is responsible for compensating all personnel employed in conjunction with the program, and for the provision of all program supplies necessary to carry out program activities. HCPS agrees to provide snacks/meals, program consultation, and free facility usage at Foster, Morgan Woods, and Town and Country Elementary, and Marshall, Pierce, Shields, Sligh, and Tomlin Middle Schools.
EVALUATION
An annual program review will include results from student, parent, and principal surveys.
