SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the Synthetic Field Turf Installation at Sickles High School (Operations Division) |
|
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The athletic field at Sickles High School has been subject to nematode infestation for the last decade. Nematodes cannot be treated with chemicals that would be acceptable to the neighboring community. The heavy school activities that occur on this field, when combined with the nematode issue, has made it nearly impossible to maintain an acceptable grass play surface. District staff selected Manhattan Construction Company from the approved continuing service Consultants list to provide construction management services. The scope of work consists of the furnishing and installation of a synthetic turf on the football field at Sickles High School. Approval of the GMP will establish the cost for the project. Project completion is scheduled for July 13, 2020. |
|
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The GMP recommended for approval is $993,707, which is available in the Local Millage fund.
