Approve a Purchase and Sales Contract for 316 S. Franklin Boulevard, Tallahassee, Florida, as Surplus Property and Deemed Unnecessary for Educational Purposes <em><strong>(Operations Division)</strong></em> |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY |
According to Florida Statute 1013.28, on October 17, 2017, the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, authorized the Superintendent to dispose of real property if said property was deemed surplus and unnecessary for educational purposes. District staff has identified School Board property located at 316 South Franklin Boulevard, Tallahassee Florida, (Parcel ID 11-31-55-000-0360) as surplus and is no longer required for educational purposes. <br /><br /> Two property appraisals were performed, and they valued the property at $118,000 and $120,000, which the average establishes the sales price of $119,000 per Florida Statute 1013.28. On February 28, 2020, staff received a full price offer of $119,000. |
